GOP Listen Up: Two New Polls Indicate Americans Will Sign up for Insurance

As the hour to the Republican Government Shutdown ticks closer, House Republicans spent the weekend voting for the 43rd and 44th time to repeal or undermine the Affordable Care Act instead of doing what it takes to keep the government open.

But despite the GOP’s constant effort to derail the health law, the Health Insurance Marketplaces will be open for business tomorrow.  Two new polls out today show the majority of uninsured Americans are planning to purchase health insurance:

85 percent of uninsured Americans say they will sign up for insurance during the six-month enrollment period.

Nearly two in three (65 percent) uninsured Americans are planning on getting insurance by January 2014.

It’s time for Republicans to stop ‘acting like spoiled children’ and let the Affordable Care Act work for America.
